From Ohio to Arizona by Car – Part 6

After exploring the immediate neighborhood of Diane’s new home, we took a short trip to a neighboring town that was recommended to us: Scottsdale. This is a quaint place full of Native American art and arts and craft as well as Western folklore. Here are a few pictures.

This interesting and fun store sells and supports Native arts and crafts from artists in the area.

Check out the floor below!

It was fun–but HOT! It’s definitely the desert in summer. But look at the awesome sunsets! We are enjoying the evening at home.

The time has come for me to return to California and for Diane to get used to her new home. There will be plenty for her to do and she won’t get lonely with her five companions! I’ll miss our time together. During my next visit–when it’s a little cooler–we’ll explore Arizona some more. I look forward to visiting Sedona, which has been on my “bucket list” for a while.

Bye bye for now!

I have a feeling Diane and her five buddies will love their new surroundings. Sedona is one of my favourite US places. I just know you will enjoy it. It was fun following along with this trip. xo

Thank you Darlene. I’m looking forward to visiting her soon and checking out Sedona. I’ve never been there, so that’s a new adventure waiting.

I’m glad you enjoyed Scottsdale. It is a nice place. You’ll also enjoy Sedona. What I want to know is, where were you? I am in the midst of my interstate move. I was expecting you to be my tortoise wrangler. Poor Shirley has had to endure the whole trip thus far scared and alone in her box. Where is Auntie Christa? In jail again? Passed out in a gutter again? Planning world domination again? Whatever she’s doing, she’s totally ignored the needs of her only tortoise niece, Shirley. Shocking, but so NOT surprising. We should arrive tomorrow–finally. No thanks to you. But I am sure Shirley
will need therapy when all is said and done. So tragic.

What an amazing journey! Thank you for telling us about it!

Monster A GoGo: I think it’s you who needs therapy. I bet you Shirley is doing just fine. Sorry I wasn’t there for her. I’ll bring an extra large apple for her when I visit next. Or would she prefer a tiki-drink-soaked lettuce leaf? Oh, sorry that would be you! Good luck with the rest of the move!

Thank you, Linda, for dropping by!
